WHO IS MARK JOHNSON?

So you know several Mark Johnson's but you don't know this one? Let me give you a somewhat brief bio:

I was born in Quantico, Virginia at the nearby naval base. Oddly, my dad was in the Air Force. Huh? Another story. I didn't stay there long; in fact, I didn't stay anywhere very long until I was 10-years-old when my dad received orders to Mtn. Home AFB. If you drive through Mtn. Home or have ever visited, you might not appreciate it for what a great place it was to grow up. It really was wonderful....low crime, small, safe. As kids we covered the entire town on our bicycles daily. We were carefree!

I didn't realize how special the location of Mtn. Home was to great outdoor activities like hunting and fishing. We had it all within 30-minutes drive! Needless to say, I quickly developed a love of the outdoors that persists and drives me today. I am an avid hunter (bow, rifle, black powder, handgun), fisherman (worms, flies, perch, salmon...it doesn't matter), dirt bike rider (I love the Owyhees AND the mountains). I love boating, canoeing, hiking, camping. I'm a private pilot and have seen Idaho's beauty from the air many times.

Maybe now you can begin to see that I LOVE Idaho and why. I've traveled the world.....Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Netherlands, Belgium, Mexico. I've also visited nearly every state in the U.S., and while all of these places are beautiful in their own way, nothing compares to Idaho...to HOME!

This is the Idaho I want to protect and to serve. The people that live here......you....are part of what makes it a special place and I want to serve as your State Senator!
